Maxine Waters must have made a huge mistake when she screamed on Facebook about an “anti-government” militia who would like to form some sort of opposition towards her. If by anti-government, she means they’re against her leadership in California’s 43rd district because she lives in riches while her people live in poverty, then perhaps the Oath Keepers group is on to something productive by planning protests against her. The protests were supposed to be in front of her office and the Oath Keepers would show their forces in numbers in opposition to her calling for violence or unrest towards Trump and his administration. Here she is, the lady who called for unrest is now trying to warn people about unrest. Funny how that works, right? It’s like she’s getting a taste of her own medicine.
Later reports by CBS suggest the protest didn’t actually happen. It appears the alleged plot to protest or the thought that someone would actually protest her was enough to get Maxine Waters all juiced up on social media to the point where it sounded like she was screaming for help. The same woman who recently called for people to basically harass Trump’s admin and supporters in public went on Facebook to post to her followers (or people reading for humor) that they shouldn’t counter-protest. Her call for help was basically a “please don’t counter protest” because then it probably ends up in violence and then it would be on her hands.
Maxine stated on Facebook: “I have been notified that the Oath Keepers, an antigovernment militia that has staged armed protests in cities across the country, is planning to protest my district office in Los Angeles tomorrow afternoon. I am requesting those individuals and groups planning a counter-protest to not be baited into confronting the Oath Keepers with any demonstrations in opposition – such an occurrence would only exacerbate tensions and increase the potential for conflict. The Oath Keepers have a history of engaging in violent and provocative behavior. The group is known to protest in military-style clothing while carrying various assault weapons. The Oath Keepers would like nothing more than to inflame racial tensions and create an explosive conflict in our community. In order to ensure the peace and security of our community, it is best and preferable if no other demonstrations are scheduled on the same date and time as the Oath Keepers’ planned protest.
As I have stated many times, peaceful protest and civil dissent is the foundation of our democracy. All groups and individuals have the right to assemble and express their opposition to public officials and public policies – regardless of whether or not it is a group that shares our values. Nevertheless, because of the Oath Keepers’ history of promoting violence and intimidation, my primary concern is to maintain the safety and security of the protesters, staff, and constituents of California’s 43rd Congressional District – a task that would be exceedingly complicated by large crowds of protesters and counter-protesters.”
Did Waters just mention peaceful protest and civil dissent after she had the nerve to go off the rails in her unhinged speech about causing people to be uncomfortable? The same leader of the 43rd district who lives in a mansion is preaching peace to her people living in poverty and now asking them for help, by asking them to not counter-protest?
It’s a good thing the protest didn’t happen. There’s no point to protest a woman who has no plans to do anything good with her position in politics anyway. What’s going to happen if people protest Maxine Waters in front of her office? Is she going to clean up her district? Is she going to even live in it? Is she going to call for peace between parties after, not in these words, declaring war on the GOP and Trump’s people?
Maxine Waters is many years beyond the typical retirement age and now she’s just milking the job and sucking down the taxpayer money like she’s thirsty and trapped in a desert. Her having a job is a waste of government spending and it’s people like her who put a bad name on politics in general.
If the Oath Keepers ever protest her, they should first require her to move into her 43rd district. Let’s see how fast America’s poverty pimp gets something done then. The Oath Keepers like the Constitution. In that regard, it’s a shame more people don’t think like them.
If they love America and the Constitution, then they’ve already done more for America than Maxine Waters has throughout her entire career.
